It's real nice to get rid of that drab gray apple upon bootup. I never could understand why Apple, a vibrant technological company, would "dumb down" its premier icon to dull gray.
Well that phase of Apple's growth is done with on my Macs :D What about a change to get rid of Microsoft's gray flag? That change would be equally - if not more - welcome on my system.

means, was installed on 10.6.8 and after updating to lion from the 2nd boot on "visible"

It does not work for me. I am trying to change the gray apple logo to he colored apple from the sample images and it doesn't work. I drag the image into bootxchanger, click apply, and enter my password.
Once i restart nothing has changed. Any solutions? I've already tried reinstalling it with no luck.
